On February 1, 2025, the Chief of the Army Staff (COAS), General Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), visited Balochistan, where he was given a comprehensive briefing on the prevailing security situation. The briefing was also attended by senior security and intelligence officials.
The COAS, along with the Governor and Chief Minister (CM) of Balochistan, offered funeral prayers for the Shuhada and visited the injured soldiers at the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) Quetta, appreciating their unwavering commitment to defending the country at all costs.
COAS emphasized that those acting as terrorist proxies for their foreign masters—who have mastered the art of manifesting double standards by "hunting with the hound and running with the hare"—are well known. No matter what these so-called “frenemies” may attempt, they will surely be defeated by the resilience of our proud nation and its Armed Forces, Insha’Allah. For the defense of our motherland and its people, we will retaliate and "hunt you down" whenever required and wherever you may be.
The COAS also appreciated the efforts of the valiant officers and soldiers of the Army, Frontier Corps, and Law Enforcement Agencies for their courage and determination in fighting terrorism. He reaffirmed the Army's resolve to ensuring the security and well-being of the people of Balochistan while also reiterating the commitment to supporting the provincial government in its efforts to promote peace, stability, and development in the region.
