On February 15, 2025, the Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC), General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, NI (M), who was on an official visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) for the 8th round of the Pakistan-KSA Joint Military Cooperation Committee (JMCC) meeting, called on the Assistant Minister of Defense, H.E. Major General Talal Bin Abdullah Al-Otaibi, and the Chief of General Staff, KSA, General Fayyadh bin Hamed Al-Ruwaili. During the meetings, strategic and security issues, the evolving regional environment, and bilateral defense cooperation were discussed.
The CJCSC and the Chief of General Staff, KSA, co-chaired the JMCC meeting. Both sides reviewed the ongoing cooperation between the Armed Forces of Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, focusing on mutual exchange programs, training initiatives, and other defense-related activities. The military leadership reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening existing defense and security cooperation between the two brotherly countries.
The Saudi military leadership lauded the professionalism of the Pakistan Armed Forces and acknowledged their sacrifices in the fight against terrorism.
Earlier, upon arrival at the Armed Forces Headquarters, a smartly turned-out military contingent presented a “Guard of Honor” to the CJCSC.
