Students and faculty from various educational institutions in Karachi spent a day with the Pakistan Army at Malir Garrison. The day’s activities began with the students laying a floral wreath at Yadgar-e-Shuhada, paying homage to the Pakistan Army’s martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the defense of Pakistan. They were briefed about the military lifestyle and the sacrifices made by the Pakistan Army for the nation.
The students were shown various weapons and equipment used by the Pakistan Army. They also enjoyed a ride in Armored Personnel Carrier (APC) vehicles and the Al-Khalid Tank and participated in small arms firing. Additionally, they witnessed an assault course and combat demonstrations by the Light Commando Battalion. The students and faculty acknowledged the Pakistan Army’s unwavering commitment and pledged to serve the motherland with dedication and motivation.
Commander Karachi Corps, Lieutenant General Babar Iftikhar, interacted with the students and faculty in an engaging question-and-answer session. He provided thoughtful and satisfying answers to each question and advised the students to be vigilant against misleading and fake information circulating on social media. He emphasized that the nation is currently facing the challenge of 5th Generation Warfare (5GW).
After the session, the students and faculty members expressed their admiration for the Pakistan Army with heartfelt slogans in its favor. They remarked that they had learned invaluable insights during the session that they had never known before. The students affirmed their commitment, declaring that as true Pakistanis, they stand steadfastly with their beloved Army.
