Even Ants Aren’t Weak

August 2024

Once upon a time there was a big jungle. There were many animals living there. One day a big storm hit the jungle. Animals tried to save themselves. Some hid under the trees. Some hid in the soil. Storm was so violent that trees fell down. And it struck all animals except ants. When the storm stopped, the animals struck under branches tried to escape but it was of no use.

The ants offered help. Everyone accepted their help, but the wolf said, arrogantly: “How would a tiny creature like you help us? You are not even able to hold a leaf.” The Queen Ant said: “I know one ant cannot hold a leaf singly but together we can do wonders if you trust us. I think you’re afraid of letting us win.” The wolf had no answer. His community agreed to the ants offer.
Ants started to scrap all the trees that had fallen by the storm. In next few hours, they cleared all the tree branches. Hedgehog, rats and squirrels also came to their help. Together they struggled and together the ants won in getting everyone released from the traps under fallen trees. Everyone thanked the ants. Wolf was the first to thank the entire ants’ community. He apologized to the Queen Ant and said “thank you for saving our lives.”
The Queen Ant was happy, she said: “No need to apologize, but one thing you must not forget that no one in the God’s creation is useless or without a purpose. Never underestimate anyone’s being.”
