The Certificate Award Ceremony of the first RSNF (Royal Saudi Naval Forces) ASW (Anti-Submarine Warfare) Training Course was held at PNS Mehran. Commander of Pakistan Fleet, Vice Admiral Muhammad Faisal Abbasi graced the occasion as Chief Guest. Director Senior Naval Liaison Officer RSNF and Deputy Counsel General of KSA (Kingdom of Saudi Arabia) at Karachi also attended the ceremony.
The first-ever ASW training Course for 12 RSNF trainees was conducted under the supervision of the Commander Naval Aviation of Naval Aviation Training School (NATS) and 222 ASW Squadron. The course comprised comprehensive ground and flying training, including simulator training sessions. Trainees were also afforded visits onboard Pakistan Navy (PN) ships to gain insights into embarked ASW operations.
While addressing the ceremony, Commander Pakistan Fleet emphasized PN and RSNF's strong ties and highlighted that cooperation between the two navies encompasses all domains, including joint operations, participation in bilateral and multilateral exercises, training, and port visits. The Chief Guest expressed his confidence that the maiden ASW training for RSNF personnel will further strengthen existing relationships and open new avenues for cooperation in the future. Commander Pakistan Fleet expressed his gratitude towards RNSF authorities for entrusting the Pakistan Navy to impart ASW training to its personnel and acknowledged it as a testament to PN's professionalism.
