On July 22, 2024, Chief of Staff of the Brazilian Navy, Admiral Andre Luiz Silva Lima De Santana Mendes, called on Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC), General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, at Joint Staff Headquarters (JSHQ), Rawalpindi.

During the meeting, they discussed matters of bilateral interest, including maritime security, the emerging security environment, and the enhancement of security and defense cooperation between the two countries.
The visiting dignitary commended the professionalism of the Pakistan Armed Forces and acknowledged their sacrifices in the war against terrorism.
Upon arrival at JSHQ, a smartly turned-out tri-services contingent presented the visiting dignitary with a 'Guard of Honor'.
