It started from the day Jinnah heard
The subcontinent was suffering under the British govern
From that day onwards it was written in fate
The Muslims will have a separate state
That’s when the struggle started to emerge
For the state Jinnah was determined to forge
Many days, many nights, many years, many weeks
Went into establishing the state he conceived
At last the fruits of his labour came to life
The Muslims had a state to be alive
Who knows how many we lost and cede
To build our homeland, to fulfil our dreams
We can never repay Quaid for what he has done
All the years he spent, all the hardships he had to confront
Salute to those who spent their lives
In the making of our beloved motherland
