They call me the Iron Lady, it’s true;
Based on what I say and what I do!
They call me the strength behind the pillar,
The one holding her family like no other.
I am the wife of an Army Officer!
Honor I wear like some badge of valor.
All that I pleasantly endure, is not easy.
Though seemingly free but tremendously busy!
I am not only the homemaker; I tell you
but a beavering, thriving entrepreneur too.
I manage my kids with the utmost interest
Provide them all that for them is the best.
Not only I look after my husband alone
Also his parents, whether he’s around or gone.
A woman in body, no less than man in spirit,
Whatever the angst, I always keep my wit.
Whenever my man is away at the fighting front,
I shed my tears silently, never in front.
Always dreading, praying for my husband’s safe return;
Maintaining a face that’s nothing but stern.
I learn to suffice clenching the limited resource
Never to complain nor do my husband I force.
