Hence, positive utilization of Artificial Intelligence (AI), social media, and other gadgets, is the biggest opportunity, and at the same time a challenge for students, children and youth.
It is important to know and understand whether or not these tools should be used with an aim to proactively contribute towards personal and national character building, our physical and mental growth, and of course academic excellence, aligning with the spirit of the International Day of Education.
Last two or three decades have witnessed mushroom growth in the digital domain. Mobile phone was so far the most effective tool in hand which transformed into social media and started impacting the young minds both positively and negatively. AI-powered ChatGPT is the latest in the row that has the potential of changing the paradigm particularly in the education domain.
What is AI?
AI has been characterized by machines which possess some aspects of human intelligence. It includes abilities such as perception, learning, reasoning, problem solving, language interaction, and creative outputs. AI has been integrated into the education field; it is being used in schools to standardize the student performance data. It allows translation from one language to another, and provides individualized learning tools to students. AI is really a game-changing revolution.

Ozair bin Abbas is a promising young boy who is rising as a shining golf player. The 16-year-old young boy, after winning various local level tournaments, is now playing golf at the national level.
It is surprising to note that golf that has long been deemed as a sport for the elite and the elderly, is now one of the fastest growing games in Pakistan, which mostly the youngsters are playing. More and more players are taking up the game, and are coming up for golf courses in various parts of the country.
Currently Pakistan has a rich crop of young and talented players who have the potential to win international laurels for the country. Ozair bin Abbas is one such budding star, who has the potential, capability and credential to attain international stature; with proper training, he can become a world class player.
He has recently won the 16th Chief of Naval Staff Golf Cup at Margalla Greens Islamabad. He has already won Federal Amateur Golf Championship, and Ace Juniors League at Garden City Golf Club Bahria Town.
