Caretaker Defense Minister of Pakistan, Lieutenant General Ali Anwar Hyder (Retired), visited Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK). The Defense Minister visited the Bagh and Pandu sectors along the Line of Control (LOC), where he received briefings about operational preparedness and the prevailing situation.
Major General Muhammad Irfan, General Officer Commanding (GOC) Chinar Division, and local commanders welcomed the Defense Minister at Muzaffarabad, where he paid his respects by laying a floral wreath at the Jammu and Kashmir Martyrs’ Monument. A well-presented military contingent offered a guard of honor at the monument and observed Fatiha for the martyrs of Jammu and Kashmir. During his visit, the Defense Minister engaged with the families of martyrs and victims of the Indian army's aggression at the Line of Control (LOC). Speaking at a ceremony dedicated to the martyrs, the Defense Minister emphasized that Kashmir remains a longstanding unresolved issue between India and Pakistan for the past 76 years. He condemned the heinous crimes committed by Indian occupation forces against innocent civilians in the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).
