I sit on the shore with my heart ablaze
Oh these starless nights, tired days!
This mist of grief will slip away soon,
Yet around me now, it’s all that stays.
Beneath the trees and wind that blows,
A calm and clear ocean flows
Caressing my feet as I sit in gloom,
A wave of hope comes and goes
Amidst them sits my heart in thought;
What peace to me has nature brought!
Sky on my head and ground beneath,
Countless blessings I've sought and got
A surge of happiness settles in me
Oh God I'm blessed! And now I see,
That to live a life of fulfillment,
Gratitude is the first and foremost key.
