The historic Khyber Pass in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa sees a remarkable revival with significant support from the Government of Pakistan and the Pakistan Army, paving the way for visitors to explore its rich heritage.

The Khyber Pass, situated in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, boasts immense historical significance. The restoration of specific historical sites along this vital pass had long been overdue.
The Government of Pakistan, the Pakistan Army, and the Frontier Corps Khyber Pakhtunkhwa North showed a keen interest in revitalizing these structures in Khyber. In a remarkably short period, extensive efforts were dedicated to preserving the historical buildings that bridge the gap between the historic Khyber Pass and its civilization.
Among these historically significant structures are the Ali Mosque Fort and British Hospital within it, Michni Fort and Museum, Shpola Stupa, the Museum packed with historical artifacts from the Khyber Rifles Mess, and the historical Bala Hisar Fort.
In this context, an inaugural ceremony was organized, during which the Corps Commander Peshawar formally inaugurated the Khyber History Trail. Partners were briefed on the historical significance and restoration efforts of the Khyber History Trail, and a documentary film on the subject was introduced during the event.
The revival of the Khyber History Trail, spanning over two thousand years of history, will play a pivotal role in promoting tourism in the region. These ancient sites will soon be accessible to the public.
