The closing ceremony of the Pakistan-KSA joint exercise "AL BATTAR-I" in the counterterrorism domain was held at Cherat on September 4, 2023. The two-week-long exercise commenced on August 22, 2023, with the participation of Special Forces contingents from both brotherly countries.

His Excellency Mr. Nawaf bin Saeed Al-Malki, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Pakistan, along with senior military leadership, witnessed the final day activities of the exercise. Combat Aviation units, along with the Special Forces of both countries, showcased their professional excellence, and the exercise concluded with a fly-past.
The exercise aimed to further strengthen the historic military-to-military relations between the two brotherly countries. It focused on nurturing the joint employment concept against counterterrorism and identifying areas of mutual interest for future military collaborations.
