In 2019, India orchestrated a false flag operation in Pulwama in an attempt to tarnish Pakistan's image, though this deceitful maneuver was eventually exposed. With impending general elections in India and the United Nations General Assembly sessions, Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, is once again endeavoring to construct a narrative that portrays Pakistan as a terrorist state to garner public support.
In a region marked by enduring tensions, the Indian government has maintained a consistent anti-Pakistan stance. The Indian government led by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), and closely aligned with RSS, is repeating its past practice of gaining political mileage ahead of the upcoming elections by trying to create a ‘false casus belli’ to regain the lost popularity. After facing a defeat in the states of Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana and Karnataka, BJP is trying to capitalize on anti-Pakistan sentiments of the general populace to gain landslide victory in the upcoming elections.
