Soins aux Femme: Lip Contouring

With fashion and makeup trends changing every season, fuller lips seem to be the talk of the town these days. If you were not naturally blessed with full, Goddess lips, we will share with you how you can contour your lips at home with a few makeup essentials and be out the door in no time. Things you will need to show your artistry will be lipstick, lip liner, lip gloss, a little bit of highlighter, concealer and a lip brush. Following are the steps in detail, which will help you achieve flawless, full lips.
Accent the Cupid’s bow
Confused about what actually is your Cupid’s bow? The Cupid’s bow is the little dip in the middle of the upper lip where the top of your lip meets. If you want to accentuate your lips, the center of the upper lip is where the emphasis will be, i.e., the Cupid’s bow. What you need to do is to take a lip liner a shade darker than your actual lip colour and draw an X at the center of your upper lip on the Cupid’s bow.  If your Cupid’s bow is not that strong, no issue! You can fake it till you make it with the lip liner.
Over Line the Lips
The lip liner you just used to draw a cross, use it to outline your lips higher than your actual lip line, take your start at the inner corners and draw towards the Cupid’s bow. Add dimension by filling the outer corners if you think your lips need the extra oomph. But make sure you do not go overboard! A lip contour is very tricky business; it might end up soft and natural or harsh and overdone.
Wear a Nude Lipstick
In order to create the illusion of shade and light, with the assistance of a lip brush, fill in all the areas that remain untouched with a nude shade lipstick. Lighter shades will give the illusion of fuller lips. Do not forget to blend where the lipstick and the lip liner meet so that your lips may appear more natural. Harsh lines will give away the contouring.
Top It Off With a Lip Gloss
A lip gloss always helps accentuate the lips. You might think you don’t need shine, or you’re more of a matte person, you will be surprised to see the difference! Use a non-sticky clear gloss at the center of your lips and blend it out equally over the lips. Do not goop your lips with it, just use enough to dab it.
Highlighter is Key
When your lips are all done, highlight your Cupid’s bow as an icing on the cake! The highlighter will add dimension to your lips and help them look more real and fuller.

Throw in Some Concealer!
The last but definitely the most alluring step is to use some concealer. Take a shade slightly darker than your skin tone just beneath your lower lip. This step will help give your lip the illusion of a fuller, pucker lip, which looks completely natural. To get this done effortlessly use a tiny precise contour lip brush.

Hair and Skin DIY
Complexion Scrub
Strawberry and lemon are both full of vitamin C. They are both excellent ingredients if you wish to get rid of dark spots and have a naturally luminous skin. For this concoction to work, all you need to do is add four ripe mashed strawberries in half a cup of brown sugar with three tablespoons of olive oil and half a tablespoon of lemon. Mix the ingredients well together and use twice a week on damp skin. Follow by your regular moisturizer.
Coconut Hair Conditioner
Honey and coconut oil make the most nourishing oil your hair could ever drink. It not only helps give your hair shine but it’s also reparative!  All you need to do is to take three tablespoons of coconut oil and a tablespoon of honey. After washing your hair, massage it into damp hair, leave in for 30 minutes, and then rinse it out. If your hair is short, replace the three tablespoons of coconut oil with two. You can use this conditioner once a week or whenever your hair feels dry.
Makeup Remover
Mix two tablespoons of olive oil and half a tablespoon of coconut oil. Use the blend to remove make up by spreading it all over your face and eyes and wiping with a cotton wipe. Rinse off the residue with lukewarm water. This magical blend will wipe off makeup instantly and you will not need any eye rubbing either. This vitamin E rich makeup remover will not only fulfill its intended purpose but will also help soothe your skin.
