Diys For Glowing Skin

The best part about creating your own DIY masks is that you control what goes on your face and you know best what your skin needs. If vitamin C is what your skin is lacking then lemons and oranges should be your go-to, whereas for vitamin E or A, papaya or apricots are great ingredients. Another advantage of homemade face masks is that you can give your skin a break from all the chemicals.
Below are some DIY face masks that can help your skin look beautiful in a cost effective way.
Face Mask for Hydration
With the winter approaching, the primary concern for most women is dryness of their skin, in particular the face. Avocadoes can help with dryness as they are full of omega-3 fatty acids that are helpful in moisturizing the skin. For this face mask, mash one avocado and add two tablespoons of plain yogurt with a tablespoon of olive oil. Top the mixture off with a tablespoon of honey. Mix the ingredients well and apply to your face for 20 minutes. Rinse off with lukewarm water afterwards.
Cleansing Mask
You will need dry berry powder for this cleansing mask. The best ingredient would be strawberry powder. Simply add four tablespoons of dried strawberry powder with two tablespoons of coconut milk powder. Mix well and apply to your face for 10 minutes and rinse off with lukewarm water. Moisturize your skin afterwards. You can also store this mask and use it when needed by adding a little bit of water and stirring it for a while until the consistency of a paste is achieved.
Peel-Off Mask
Yogurt is the best ingredient if you want to exfoliate your skin. Lactic acid in yogurt makes all the difference in the world by cleaning away dead skin cells, making your skin smooth and supple. Turmeric is the best ingredient if you suffer from pigmentation, while honey helps make your skin more elastic. With an ingredient like honey, this mask can do wonders for you. What you will need in a bowl is a tablespoon each of plain yogurt, honey and turmeric powder. Mix all the ingredients well and apply to your face. Leave the mask on for about 10 minutes and then peel if off. Enjoy the instant glow on your face. Repeat as and when needed.
Pore Tightening Mask
Tight pores not only make your makeup look flawless but with tight pores dead cells can’t block the pores helping you avoid acne. For a pore tightening mask, we will need tomatoes and cucumbers, which are both natural astringents, and hence help remove excess oil from your skin and are great for tightening the pores. You will need a half ripe tomato and one-fourth of a cucumber. Wash and peel the cucumber and then blend it to a fine pulp with the tomato. Apply the mixture to your face in circular motions and leave it on for 15 minutes. Rinse it off with lukewarm water and enjoy your minimized pores. HH
