Anita Karim Wins Fight Against Australian Opponent Uyen Ha in Bangkok

Anita Karim, Pakistan’s first female Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fighter, won her competition in Fairtex Fight: Domination against Aussie opponent Uyen Ha at Lumpinee Stadium, Bangkok. The fight took place on June 11, 2022. The 25-year-old fighter beat her opponent in all three rounds of the bantamweight fight. She has won multiple national and international contests.

Anita began her MMA career when she was 20 years old. She relocated to Islamabad and started training at her brother’s camp with the hopes of becoming Pakistan’s first professional female MMA fighter. Anita barely needed two months to get a grasp on the sport and entered the international ring.
She commented on her win saying: “My family has always encouraged and supported my passion for MMA, which is why I have achieved so much and garnered so much respect and appreciation throughout the world.”
Anita Karim rose to fame after defeating Indonesian opponent, Gita Suharsono in One Warrior Series 4 (OWS) back in 2019. She is also known as the ‘arm collector’ because she has won all her bouts through arm locks.
