Pakistan Successfully Conducts Test Flight of Shaheen-III and Fatah-I

The successful flight test of Shaheen-III surface-to-surface ballistic missile, with a range of 2750 kilometers, was conducted on January 20, 2021. The test flight was aimed at re-validating various design and technical parameters of the weapon system.
The successful flight test, with its impact point in the Arabian Sea, was witnessed by Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) General Nadeem Raza, Director General Strategic Plans Division Lieutenant General Nadeem Zaki Manj, Commander Army Strategic Forces Command Lieutenant General Muhammad Ali, Chairman NESCOM Dr. Raza Samar, and the scientists and engineers.


Pakistan also conducted a successful test flight of indigenously developed Fatah-I (Guided Multi Launch Rocket System) on January 7, 2021. The weapon system is capable of delivering a conventional warhead upto a range of 140 km. It will give Pakistan Army the capability of precision target engagement deep inside enemy territory.
CJCSC congratulated scientists and engineers on the conduct on these successful tests. He asserted that, “Pakistan desires peaceful co-existence in the region and its strategic capability is to deter any aggression against the sovereignty of Pakistan.” He appreciated the technical prowess, dedication and commitment of scientists and engineers, who contributed whole-heartedly in making the missile launch successful.
The President, Prime Minister of Pakistan and the services chiefs congratulated the scientists and engineers on successful conduct of the missile test.
