PAF Airbus and C-130 Hercules Aircraft Evacuates Stranded Pakistanis from Sudan through Jeddah

On the directives of the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Pakistan Air Force (PAF) Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, has ordered PAF transport fleet to carry out swift evacuation of stranded Pakistanis from conflict-hit Sudan. PAF Airbus carrying 149 passengers safely landed at Karachi through Jeddah on April 28, 2023. PAF is making all out efforts to repatriate the stranded Pakistanis in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) and Pakistan’s embassies in Sudan and Saudi Arabia.



Rescued Pakistanis from Port Sudan New International Airport are being transported by PAF aircraft. The evacuated families expressed their gratitude to the Government of Pakistan and appreciated PAF for their timely rescue amidst the rapidly deteriorating situation in Sudan.
Second PAF aircraft also landed back at Karachi after successfully completing evacuation mission from Sudan on the same day. The C-130 Hercules carrying 110 Pakistanis from conflict-hit Sudan took off from Jeddah on April 28, 2023. In line with the directives of PAF's senior leadership, PAF transport aircraft are conducting arduous evacuation missions to bring the fellow countrymen back who were stranded in war-torn Sudan. The transport fleet of PAF has always been at the forefront to respond to the call of the nation during natural disasters and calamities.
