Deputy Minister of Defense, KSA, His Royal Highness Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud called on Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa at GHQ on March 2, 2020.
During the meeting, views were exchanged on issues of mutual interest including defense and security cooperation, measures to further enhance bilateral defense collaboration including training exchange program, and the overall regional security situation which included the situation in IOJ&K. They agreed that both countries share a long history of cordial relations and a deep spirit of brotherhood which is being transformed into an enduring partnership.
The visiting dignitary acknowledged the professionalism of Pakistan Army and extended gratitude for the assistance provided, especially towards training of the Royal Saudi Armed Forces both at Pakistan as well as at KSA through bilateral training cooperation. HRH Prince Khalid bin Salman vowed to extend full support to Pakistan’s efforts for peace in the region.
COAS thanked the visiting dignitary for acknowledging Pakistan Army’s achievements in the war against terrorism, its sacrifices and contribution to regional peace and stability.
The Deputy Minister of Defense, KSA was accompanied by a high level delegation including Chief of General Staff, KSA General Fayyadh bin Hamed Al-Ruwaili and Military Advisor to HRH Minister of Defense, KSA Major General (Engineer), Talal Abdullah Al-Otaibi.
Earlier, upon arrival at GHQ, the visiting dignitary was presented guard of honour.
