In an impressive ceremony held at Joint Staff Headquarters, Rawalpindi, General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, HI(M) assumed the appointment of Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, on November 27, 2022. 

Besides a large number of serving and retired officers from tri-services, the ceremony was also attended by former Chairmen Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee.
On arrival, a smartly turned out tri-services contingent presented Guard of Honor to Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee. General Sahir Shamshad Mirza reviewed the Guard of Honor and march past.
