Chief of the Army Staff (COAS), General Syed Asim Munir visited Headquarters Mangla Corps. On arrival, COAS was received by Commander 1 Corps, Lieutenant General Ayman Bilal Safdar, followed by a detailed and comprehensive briefing on operational preparedness, training and other matters pertaining to the formation.
While interacting with officers and men, COAS appreciated them for their high morale and operational preparedness in the line of duty. He said Mangla Corps is a magnificent formation of Pakistan Army which will play a pivotal role in the arena of war for ultimate victory. He further said that discipline and faith are hallmarks of our great institution and urged upon the young officers to follow traditions to pursue their career. He said that defense of the motherland will be ensured at all costs and no one will be allowed to disrupt the prevailing peace in the country. He also witnessed the stalls of weapons and equipment including networking enabled command post, anti-personnel mine buster, virtual reality simulator gunner and driver, signal equipment, cam thermal net, vertical take off and landing-II and firing and engagement training system and reiterated to undertake all efforts to enhance the professional capacity of the Army.
Ealier, COAS laid floral wreath at Yadgar-e-Shuhada (Martyrs’ Monument) to pay tribute to shuhada.
