COAS General Qamar Javed Bajwa, attended a wargaming session at Central Command of Pakistan Army at Kharian. The session was aimed at the refinement and crystallisation of Pakistan Army Central Command’s war plans. On arrival, COAS was received by Commander Pakistan Army Central Command and Corps Commander I Strike Corps (Mangla), Lieutenant General Shaheen Mazher Mahmood. COAS was further accompanied by Inspector General Training & Evaluation, Lieutenant General Syed Adnan, Commander IV (Lahore) Corps, Lieutenant General M. Abdul Aziz, Commander XXX (Gujranwala) Corps, Lieutenant General M. Aamer, Commander X (Rawalpindi) Corps, Lieutenant General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, President of National Defence University, Lieutenant General Nauman Mehmood, Commander XI (Peshawar) Corps, Lieutenant General Faiz Hameed, Commander Pakistan Army Southern Command, and Commander II (Multan) Strike Corps, Lieutenant General Muhammad Chiragh Haider.
COAS also witnessed field demonstration encompassing perfection of drills and procedures, validation of new concepts as well as proficiency enhancement on newly acquired technologies. COAS appreciated the overall training spirit and proficiency of the participating troops. At the wargamming session, COAS reviewed the planning process and operational preparedness of the command’s strike formations. COAS commended the overall operational readiness of the formations against an evolving threat regime while further emphasising on learning relevant lessons from the ongoing conflicts around the world.
