گزشتہ دنوں منعقدہ مقابلوں میں پاک فضائیہ کے نمبر 11 ملٹی رول سکواڈرن نے انٹر سکواڈرن آرمامنٹ مقابلہ جیت لیا۔ اختتامی تقریب پاک فضائیہ کے ایک آپریشنل ایئر بیس پر منعقد ہوئی۔ پاک فضائیہ کے سربراہ‘ ایئر چیف
مارشل سہیل امان اس موقع پر مہمانِ خصوصی تھے۔ اس موقع پر انہوں نے کہا ’’یہ مقابلے مختلف جنگی جہازوں کے پائلٹس کو فضا سے زمین پر استعمال ہونے والے ہتھیاروں کی کارکردگی کو جانچنے کا موقع فراہم کرتے ہیں۔ ان مقابلوں کا بنیادی مقصد فائٹر سکواڈرنز کی آپریشنل تیاری‘ پیشہ ورانہ مہارت اور کارکردگی کا جائزہ لینا ہے۔‘‘یاد رہے کہ اس سال JF-17تھنڈر، F-16بلاک 52اور F-16طیاروں کی شمولیت نے اس مقابلے کو خاص بنا دیا۔ مذکورہ مقابلوں کی خاص بات JF-17کی نمایاں کار کردگی تھی ۔

COAS Witnesses Passing Out Parade of Baloch Recruits

COAS General Qamar Javed Bajwa visited Quetta to witness the passing out parade of Baloch recruits. The contingent included troops of Pakistan Army, FC Balochistan and Balochistan Police.

 

While addressing the troops he said that it was a matter of great pride for him to be part of the ceremony and to celebrate the success and happiness of Baloch brothers. “The fully alert faces of the recurits reflecting determination and resolve are a testimony to the high training standards. Pakistan Armed Forces, FC, Rangers and the Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs) are not only reflective of national unity but are also its custodians,” COAS said on the occasion. He also remarked that Balochistan is making significant contribution towards national integration and progress.

Mr. Muhammad Masood Khan, President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, called on General Zubair Mahmood Hayat, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee at Joint Staff Headquarters, Rawalpindi. During the meeting, matters related to regional security with emphasis on human rights violations by Indian forces in Indian Occupied Kashmir came under discussion. President Azad Jammu and Kashmir praised the resolve of Pakistan Armed Forces to deter and defeat any aggression by India against Azad Kashmir.

 

 

 

 

 
CJCSC Attends “Pacific Chiefs Defence Conference 2017”

General Zubair Mahmood Hayat, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, attended “Pacific Chiefs of newscjscpeacfic.jpgDefence Conference 2017” at Victoria, Canada from September 4-6. The Conference was titled, “The Future Security Environment, Challenges, Complexity and Cooperation,” and attended by Chiefs of Defence Staff of 25 countries from around the world. The core areas discussed during the Conference included: 'Trends in the Indo-Asia Pacific, Countering and Preventing Violent Extremism and Peace Support Operations.'

During the discussion on 'Trends in Indo-Asia Pacific', three major concerns: Demography, Water Security and Climate Change were identified. Chairman highlighted the issues being faced by Indus Water Treaty and the existing challenges faced by the mechanism to resolve water issues. On the sidelines of the Conference, the Chairman held bilateral meetings with his counterparts from seven different countries. During the meetings, matters of mutual professional interest with particular reference to global and regional security environment, were discussed. All the dignitaries remained appreciative of the high professional standards of Pakistan Armed Forces and their valued contributions in regional peace and stability. They also acknowledged the sacrifices made by Pakistan in war against terrorism.
