An elite Pakistan Armed Forces contingent consisting of over hundred personnel from three services participated in SCO member countries anti-terror exercise, which was held in Chelyabinsk region of Russian Federation from August 22-29, 2018. This exercise bears significance for Pakistan as its Armed Forces participated in the event for the first time after grant of permanent membership of SCO in June 2017. The exercise is held once in every two years in one of the selected member countries of SCO. Besides rendering valuable professional experience, the event bears significance as Pakistan Armed Forces operated with SCO permanent member states in a combined operational framework.
The CJCSC witnessed the active phase of the exercise Peace Mission 2018 on August 29, 2018 in Russia.
Our Collective Resolve Shall Defeat All Inimical Forces: COAS on International Day of Victims of Terrorism
Chief of Army Staff, General Qamar Javed Bajwa (COAS) paid tribute to victims of terrorism on International Day of Victims of Terrorism on August 21, 2018.
Speaking on the global menace of terrorism and resilience of the Pakistani nation, COAS stated, “Pakistani nation and its Armed Forces have bravely and successfully stood up to this challenge and is on a positive trajectory to defeat it effectively. We express solidarity with courageous families of the victims of terrorism, including our security forces who are fighting valiantly against it. Our collective resolve shall defeat all inimical forces which tried to push us towards darkness but are failing in the face of our national resilience and determination. We strongly condemn terrorism in all its manifestations and extend full support to all the forces of order and peace to bring enduring peace.”
